Lizards from Pogona genus are commonly named as Bearded Dragon. They have broad triangular heads and flattened bodies. They reach a manageable average size of about 18-22 inches (46-56 cms). The average weight is about 10-18 ounces (283-510 gm)
The species of Bearded Dragons get their name from a distinctive series of lateral spines (specialized scales) radiating horizontally from the head and base of the tail. As juveniles, they are semi-arboreal. As adults, they are mostly terrestrial, but climb to bask and search for prey.
A common problem many bearded dragons have is when the dragonrefuse to eat veggies. This can get very serious and caused many timesthe death of bearded dragons. Here are a few tips you can use to convince the pet to eat:
- put the crickets in his/her greens. I would also try somesupersworms over their greens. If there is a petsupplyplus by you. They sell worms in small qty, it usually work with most dragons. You can also shred something your dragon likes and gradually mixwith a lot of greens and vegetables
- Make sure the dragon sees the greens by placing them in a shallowdish-which it can easily see. Pay attention also that the greensare bite-sized.
- Try to attach a big leaf, using a clip. Let the dragon have thefun of tearing it into pieces.
- Start feeding greens from the very first week. Then, it willbegin to relish them.
- Set your light timers to turn on the lights an hour before youget out of bed in the morning. When you get up, give your beardie salad. After having basked for an hour, the dragons will be hungry enough to eat thegreens.
This should completely solve this problem. Please let me know howit worked. Wishing you lots of fun with your dragon!

E2macpetsHave you ever wondered about your ethnic origin? Do you know for sure where all your ancestors were from and which countries' histories were a direct influence on the people who made you who you are?
I've always known I'm Canadian, but not until recently did I wonder: am I part Finnish?
It was just last week when I was broadcasting to the world on MSN that I was "60% Finnished" a personal project when I became truly intrigued about my heritage. What I was trying to tell the world was that I was 60% finished a large-scale car engine endeavor; however one of my friends that HAS to be right about everything pointed out that I wasn't spelling correctly. Was I just a bad speller or could it be that I was sending out an underlying message about my own self? I facetiously pointed out to Ms. Always-right that it was conceivable I was a descendant of Finland, and that perhaps she was wrong for once. But was it really true? I've always loved Finland's flashy flag; I can't seem to get enough of the Finnish rhubarb stew; and on top of it all, I keep christening custom toboggans in the name of Finland. How could I find out if I really am Finnish?
A good friend showed me that there is hope! Ethnicity testing is available to me and anyone else with similar curiosities (not necessarily a Finnish fetish, of course). There are also applications that extend beyond personal curiosity, but for the most part, everything the test tells you is more-than-fascinating.
Ethnicity testing starts with the widely held assumption that all human DNA originates in Africa and the goes on a 150-thousand-year journey. The test is the first of its kind ever developed. It reports proportional European, Western sub-Saharan African (African) and East Asian ancestry. For example, one person may obtain a result of 80% European 20% East Asian, while another may type as 33% African, 22% East Asian and 22% European. The DNA test is accurate to from 4-8% and sensitive enough to detect, for many customers, a single (100%) African or European great-great-grandparent or a single (100%) East Asian great grandparent.
As far as I know, the only Scandinavian blood in me is due to a package of Swedish Fish; however, with ethnicity test, I can make my own claim to the honorable Finland.

E2macpetsThis phenomenon occurred last year (and in 2003), so this means that the next occurrence is in 2007, not this year. This e-mail is such a classic example of a hoax, that it is totally unbelievable that people still fall for this and distributes these lies to everyone they know. The e-mail states "This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars". It takes Earth 365 days to complete an orbit around the sun. Earth's orbital track is smaller than the orbital track of Mars, therefore it takes Mars longer to complete an orbit around the sun. Now explain to me how do Mars orbit around the sun twice in a matter of two months?
"Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again." It looks like the creators of this e-mail could not make up their minds about how long it will take for the next occurrence. The year 2287 is 281 years from now, almost 3 century's, now they suddenly speak of 60 millenniums. There are references to several scientific words and phrases in this e-mail that only a NASA scientist will understand, so how is it possible that they can't do simple maths while they possess the knowledge of an astrologist? NASA states that Earth has not been this close to Mars for the last 60000 years, I guess that is what got them mixed up.
"The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth". Notice how they don't reference the year. This makes it extremely easy to use the same message next year and the years thereafter. It will be really silly if people forward this e-mail in September, but it is not impossible, people tend to miss little details like this because they read their mail like zombies, they don't always think about what they read. This is maybe the biggest reason why we get so many spam and chain letters forwarded to our inboxes these days.
"Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye."
I guess once Mars looks as large as the full moon we should start worrying seriously.
